The crushing unit for old windows comprises of the
glass separation unit GTA and the window frame press FRP.
Description of function:
-
The unit comprises a stable, chain-driven
conveying element and special cam bars to transport the
wings of the windows through a breaking device. The
performance of the breaking device of the GTA can be
switched over for compound glass.
-
Removal of the glass from the window is
done within a breaking device housing. The energy of the
patented breaking device can be switched over for simple
glass or compound glass.
-
The broken glass falls into a container or
optionally onto a conveyor belt.
-
Windows without glass - with slight
fragments of glass remaining in the groove - are transported
in the further process via the discharge of the GTA to the
FRP, where they are pressed to form "frame laths"
(squared timbers) on the long sides. These are then removed
and can be piled up in a container to save space (up to 75%
space saving).
-
Our FRZ special shredder makes it
possible to further process the frame laths from the FRP
directly. This way, the various individual modules, GTA, FRP
and FRZ can be operated by only one person (one-man
operation).
-
Our units are supplied with RAL 5012 paint,
the breaking device elements and the electrical control
units with RAL 9002, the transport elements (special cams)
are galvanised and the sheets used (hopper, feed) are of
high-quality fine steel.

Performance features GTA/FRP
The window glass can be simple glass or compound
glass.
Windows containing safety glass cannot be processed.
The GTA/FRP unit is designed for wooden windows.
However, PVC and aluminium windows can also be de-glassed.
The following window or wing dimensions can be
processed in the GTA/FRP:
Windows of a size up to a maximum of 2200 mm x 1750
mm (length x breadth) and a height, with hardware on one side, of up
to a maximum of 150 mm (including hardware), with hardware on both
sides up to a maximum of 180 mm. At the input to the GSU, hardware
protruding downwards may only be a maximum of 90 mm in height. Hardware
should be removed beforehand if possible.
The individual squared timbers on the window
can be up to a maximum of 100 mm wide and 130 mm thick. Timbers
which are not straight (arched) must not exceed a maximum radius
height of 150 mm (see illustration below).
 |
Ill.: Dimensions for sizes of
windows
|
Frame dividers within the window frame can
have a maximum thickness of up to 25 x 25 mm. Larger frame dividers
must be removed beforehand.
Wings inside window frames must also be removed
beforehand. The above mentioned window dimensions are also valid
for the dimensions of window wings.
The performance of the GTA/FRP in automatic
operation and in the standard factory settings is:
-
Transport speed of the GTA: 4.0 m/min.
-
The unit is designed for single-shift
operation, with an average throughput of about 300 - 500
windows per day in automatic operation with standard factory
settings and corresponding logistics of the operator
resulting, depending upon the size of the windows (in
single-shift operation).
